• Michael Kuluva began skating at 8 years old when his parents took him to a local ice rink.
"I grasped to the sport very quickly and starting taking lessons the next day," he said.
• His former coaches include Frank Carroll, Ken Congemi, Sashi Kuchiki, Cindy Stuart, Denise Kuchiki, Russ Witherby, Maria Causey and Bobby Beauchamp.
• His competitive accomplishments include third at the 2004 MLFS World Professional Invitational Championship, sixth at the 2001 Pacific Coast Sectional Championships, ninth at the 1999 Pacific Coast Sectional Championships, seventh at the 1998 Junior Olympics and third at the 1998 Pacific Coast Sectional Championships.
• He was a member of the 2002 U.S. Figure Skating team.
•Michael now skates professionally as a principal with Disney on Ice. Currently, he is starring in Disney On Ice's new production, The Incredible's as the main character Dash. Michael has also skated with Disney On Ice's Jungle Adventures tour, Holiday On Ice "In Concert" tour and many other skating productions.
• He had a role in the Cutting Edge 2. His role in the movie was trying out with Christy Carlson Romano, who played a two-time U.S. Champion looking for a pairs partner.
"The funny part about me trying out with this girl, is that I am too small for her, I am only around 5'4 and she was probably 5'6 or 5'7. So it did not really work out too well," Michael said.
"It's a pretty funny scene in the movie when all the guys she goes through to try and find her new partner."
• He has appeared on several television shows including Regis & Kelly and Good Morning America.
• Michael has appeared in several print publications including The New York Post newspaper, Teen People magazine and Elle Girl magazine.
• He is currently signed with the KSA Sports agency & KSA Modeling agency.
• He has an endorsement deal with a company called Hydrosport.
• His skating goals include to be as consistant as possible in his skating every night, show after show, city after city, to give the best he has in every performance, every show and to keep expanding his skating and creativity.
• Michael also designs clothing for his label Crown Prince Couture. Ricky Martin, Ryan Seacrest and Jessica Simpson have worn Crown Prince Couture shirts.
"I have always been interested in fashion. I own a lot of clothes myself and am always on the hunt for clothing that is designed to fit smaller people," he said.
"I had a lot of ideas for new clothing and one day I just decided to do it. I have always done this as a side project and will continue to do so until I retire from skating."
